About

Welcome to Mother Fluff!

A place where parenting and mental illness coexist. Our stories become therapeutic by representing realistic portrayals of life as a parent with mental illness. Mother Fluff tackles the stigma of mental illness with humor, awareness, and inclusivity. It is a place where parents, dealing with mental illness, have a place to come together, tell their story, and find advice. This is a place that will make the loneliness go away.

The founder of Mother Fluff is Sara Green. She became a writer to escape her reality. She felt like a failure. But most importantly, she felt alone. But writing was her way of feeling connected. Her journey into motherhood has been difficult, facing battles with infertility with multiple miscarriages and postpartum depression, anxiety, agoraphobia, and post-traumatic stress disorder. This has brought a new sense of purpose to help other parents relate to one another and help their voices be heard. Her hope is that Mother Fluff will provide a sense of community, in a stigmatized lifestyle.

We are not ashamed of mental illnesses nor struggles in life. Mother Fluff believes that by writing our truth, we are taking the stigma away.

Her stories have been included in two anthologies:
Motherhood May Cause Drowsiness: Funny Stories by Sleepy Moms
Motherhood May Cause Drowsiness: Mom Stories from the Trenches: A Second Edition

Her writing has been featured on:
TODAY Parenting Team, The Mighty, Reality Moms, TODAY Parents, Mock Mom, Momtastic, Sammies & Psych Meds, BLUNTmoms, Housewife Plus, and Bagnor Daily News.

You can follow Mother Fluff on Facebook, Instagram (which is her jam), Twitter, and Pinterest.
