Moms: We Don’t Do It All

Working moms: while you are slaving away at your job, where are your kids?

Stay-at-home moms: while you are slaving away at home with your kids, who is working on bringing in the income?

Truth of the matter is, we don’t do it all.

It takes a village to raise a family.

The debate of working versus stay-at-home is rather annoying. We are fighting over which is better, who does the most, or which one qualifies as a real woman. But, let’s not forget that this argument is futile. While one mother is at work, her children are being taken care of by another person. While one mother is taking care of her children, the income to pay the bills is being taken care of by another person. And, I’m sure we’ve all dreamed of a day in the life as another: For once, I would love to carry on a conversation with an adult. Or man, I would love to be home and go on my schedule.  Yet, rather you have help raising your children or paying your bills, motherhood isn’t defined by the lifestyle you choose but by the ones who call you mom.
